Truly unique and rare pottery charger from Swedish ceramic firm Upsala-Ekeby, designed by Anna-Lisa Thomson, 1940s.

It depicts an aquatic marine life motif of fish, sea urchin, coral, and seaweed against a matte, textured background in one of her most notable works.

Thomson was one of the first female designers for a Scandinavian ceramic firm, and has won numerous award for her work which is highly collectable. Matching vase is also available (and it is extremely rare to have both works as a pair) so check other listings for pricing and availability.
